Once you enter the LISTINGS area, you will be presented with two main types of lists:
1. Alphabetical:
Clicking on a letter will bring up all establishments beginning with that letter. For example, if you are looking for The Craigellachie Hotel, click C. For clarity, the system ignores the word 'the'.
2. Regional:
The establishments are listed by which region they are in. If you want to know about all places in Glasgow, find the G regional section and click on Glasgow. There you will be presented with all the establishments in the Glasgow area.
Tips to avoid disappointment
Make an advance reservation whenever possible. Mention that you are using the Taste of Scotland Guide. Check if price changes have taken place since publication of the guide. If you are planning on paying by credit card, check that your card will be accepted.
Telephone calls to Scotland
If you are calling from outside Scotland, you may need to use the international dialing code 44. Plus, you need to drop the leading zero on the regional code.
eg: a telephone number listed as 0131 123 4567 would be 44 131 123 4567 dialed internationally.
Comments
Taste-of-Scotland.com welcomes comments - both good and bad - about your experiences using this guide.
However, if you have an unsatisfactory meal, we would always advise that you speak to the person in charge of the establishment concerned and let them know of your disappointment. It gives an immediate opportunity for the situation to be rectified or explained.
If this fails to resolve the problem, do email news@taste-of-scotland.com about your experience.
Please let us hear of your good experiences as well as we will also pass these on to our members.
