This hotel was built over 200 years ago to serve fishermen and puffers trading on the Crinan Canal. There is a nautical feel to the candlelit restaurant where the accent is on cooking and serving fresh caught West Coast seafood. Home-made calorific puddings will appeal to hearty seafaring appetites.
| “The Cairnbaan Hotel prides itself on traditional Scottish cooking of local produce with modern touches.” |
How to Get Here :
The Cairnbaan Hotel is situated at Lock 5, approximately halfway along the 9 mile-long Crinan Canal.
It can be reached from the north (Inveraray) on the A83 or the A816 (Oban), or from the Cowal peninsula on the Tarbert - Portavadie ferry.
To the south is Kintyre and the Isle of Arran via the Claonaig - Lochranza ferry.
