A Room in the West End is situated in William Street in the heart of Edinburgh's West End, below Teuchters bar . The emphasis is on creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Bright colours, simple wooden furniture and granite candles give a warm cosy ambiance for our diners. For those more intimate or private moments we have some small alcove tables to the back of the restaurant.

Owner's Description : Our menus include smoked halibut and Scottish scallops as well as Haggis and Neeps. Main courses include roasted mallard, sea bass, Scottish beef and lamb with some unique partnerships including Arran Mustard Potato Dumplings and Stornaway White Pudding Tart. As well as our own wine list we operate a Bring Your Own Bottle' policy so that you can relax, drink two bottles and not worry about your final bill although we do take £2.00 corkage for every bottle opened and £3.00 for the fizzy stuff), the robbers that we are. Please note that our BYOW policy is for wine and bubbly only. This also makes it a lot easier on the corporate entertainers pocket who can have a case of wine delivered, chilled and ready on the table at a nominal charge.

A Room in the West end is situated, as the name would suggest in the west end of Edinburgh's, only a 5 minute walk from Princes Street.

If you are coming from Princes Street or Lothian Rd -

walk along Shandwick place towards Haymarket. Take the first right down Stafford Street, and then the first left onto William Street. Walk along the left hand side of William Street. A Room in the West End is on the first corner on the left, above Teuchters bar.

If you are coming from Haymarket or Dalry -

walk along West Maitland Street towards Shandwick Place. Take a left onto Coates Crescent and then first left onto Walker Street. Take a first right onto William Street. A Room in the West End is on the first corner on the right, below Teuchters bar.
