Since 1991, this unassuming, Old Town restaurant set in the defunct stores above the shops below has been gaining fans and earning critical plaudits for its sensitive preparation of local Scottish Produce carefully sourced by chef and owner Carlo Coxon. The wine list covers all bases from sensible to decadent. It is a wonderfully intimate venue for dinner. One of Edinburgh's genuine gems.

Owner's Description : Our starters are served with a selection of homemade bread baked every morning. We use only the best local produce: Scottish beef and lamb, market fresh fish and seafood, venison, game birds, forest picked wild mushrooms and the finest fresh fruits and vegetables in season. To round off your meal you may choose from our selection of 'in house' desserts created by our pastry chef Ben. Our cheeses are served with homemade oatcakes, wafers and chutney.
