Amber is a traditional Scottish restaurant located in the Scotch Whisky Museum in Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Offering a contemporary take on Scottish cuisine in a very friendly atmosphere they bring you the finest Scottish food made from the best of ingredients ... and , of course, complimented by the widest selection of malt whiskies.
Our team of chefs source all of our food with a painstaking eye for quality. Our menus change with the seasons and all of our food reflects the regional diversity of Scotland's larder.
Scottish estate bred beef and lamb, prime game, wild salmon and the freshest vegetables are all sourced with care and attention.
Then behind the kitchen doors, Amber restaurant’s elite team of chefs carry out a delicious alchemy, creating the quintessentially Scottish menu.

Amber in the Attic Valentine Dining
Amber, is offering an exclusive and special Valentine’s Day dining event.
"Amber in the Attic" is available on Tuesday 14 February only, giving couples the chance to dine in the glittering surroundings of the Castlehill Room followed by a private viewing of the world’s largest collection of Scotch Whiskies displayed in a stunning glass vault.
After dinner, guests will be given an exclusive private view of the superb Whisky collection and the chance to enjoy a dram and coffee in the lovely McIntyre Bar with its views across the Edinburgh skyline.
